Terms and Conditions

1. A non refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks prior to the date of hire. If the booking is made less than eight weeks before the date of the hire, then the full balance is payable at the time of the booking.

 2. Cancellations

If the hirer cancels their booking six weeks prior to the collection date, only the deposit will be forfeited and the remainder will be refunded. If the booking is cancelled less than six weeks before the first date of the hire, but more than two weeks before the first date of the hire then 50% of the full cost of the booking will be refunded. If the booking is cancelled less than two weeks before the date of hire, the full hire cost of the booking will be retained by WilDar campers. If for any reason WilDar campers. must cancel their booking then a full refund will be given. We are not to be held responsible for any costs you have incurred, including the costs of flights, train tickets, car rental or overnight accommodation.

3. Payment
A 30% deposit will be payable at the time of booking. The remainder of the balance will be due 8 weeks prior to the date of the hire. If you are booking the vehicle less than eight weeks before collection then the full amount will be payable at the time of booking. WilDar campers. do not accept cash or cheques for deposits or balances. Payments must be made through BACS.

4. Damage Deposit
A damage deposit of £1000 is required for each booking. This is to be paid one week before the hire through BACS and will be refunded once the Motorhome has been inspected for any damage. The hirer will be liable for the cost of repair of any damage that is not covered by an insurance claim. This will be deducted from the damage deposit.

5.Insurance
The vehicle insurance is arranged by < FILL IN INSURANCE COMPANY NAME > and is on the provision that all personal information supplied by you is correct. All named drivers are insured under the comprehensive motorhome policy. In the event of an insurance claim the full damage deposit will be taken to cover the insurance excess. The hirer acknowledges on commencement of the rental that the vehicle is free from any defects or damage other than those recorded. A video and photographs will be taken at the time of rental showing any existing damage or defects. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was received at the start of the rental period. Insurance exclusions, for which you will be totally liable for all costs include:

  • Any claim if the vehicle was being used in contravention to these Terms & Conditions
  • Any costs resulting from improper use of the vehicle.
  • Damage caused to the canopy of the vehicle by trees barriers or bridges etc
  • Damage to or replacement of rear bumpers, rear light cluster, side skirt plastics, wing mirror casings, exterior running light, habitation windows and skylight windows.
  • Damage to the interior of the vehicle (including cigarette burns, spillages and markings) living or cooking equipment, blinds, floor, table tops and kitchen work surfaces.
  • Damage to the vehicle or third party property caused through a reversing manoeuvre or impact caused by tail swing of vehicle.
  • Damage to tyres by punctures, cuts or bursts. • Damage or loss to the in-vehicle entertainment systems.
  • Damage to windows or windscreen.
  • The cost of repairing any damage caused by wilful misconduct (eg sitting on the roof).
  • The cost of replacing lost or stolen keys, or keys which have been locked in the vehicle.
  • The cost to retrieve or recover a vehicle that has become bogged.
  • Theft as a result of keys remaining in the vehicle whilst it is unoccupied.
  • Theft involving deception.
  • The vehicle is insured for theft but does not include any personal insurance for the hirer or passengers, including death or bodily injury or cover any personal possessions. The damage excess is applicable regardless of who was at fault and will only be refunded if we are successful in recovering the cost of the damages from the third party. In the event of an insurance claim, you must provide full and accurate information in line with the disclosure requirements of the insurer. In the event of this provision, you will be responsible for payment in full, all losses, fines, expenses, costs and damages either party suffer or incur as a result.

6. Maintenance Instructions
Will be given how to maintain the vehicle as part of the vehicle induction. The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of diesel, ad-blue, coolant and windscreen fluid. It is the responsibility of the hirer to check and replenish these levels throughout the period of the hire. The hirer will be liable for any costs associated with allowing the engine oil, coolant or ad-blue to run empty and cause damage to the vehicle engine. Any costs associated with the incorrect use of fuel will be that of the hirers. The vehicle must be always driven in a prudent and cautious manner, never in excess of the speed limit and never whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The vehicle should never be driven in areas where it may come into contact with salt water, driven on a beach or be submersed by water.

In the event of damage to the vehicle e.g. bumper or wing mirrors, please inform us as soon as possible and always within 24 hours so we can order parts to be fitted straight away on your return. Please do not wait until your return to tell us about damage.

7. Pets

8. Drivers
All drivers must have held a full UK or EU driving licence for at least two years.

  • We are unable to accept drivers with a licence from out-with the UK or EU.
  • Drivers must be aged between 25 and 75
  • Drivers must not have more than two convictions with a maximum of three points per conviction on their licence. Single convictions totalling 6 points will require the hire company to seek approval from the insurer. This may result in an increased excess.
  • Drivers must not have been involved in more than one fault accident in the last three years.
  • Drivers must send a copy/scan of the driving licence to WilDar campers at least 14 days before the commencement of the hire along with a DVLA check code that will be valid for the duration of the hire.
  • Drivers must provide 2 forms of proof of address (utility bills, bank statements etc) at least 14 days before the commencement of hire.
  • Hirers must bring their valid driving licence with them on the day of collection to be checked
  • Only drivers who are authorised by WilDar campers and who have signed and completed a rental agreement are allowed to drive the vehicle. The vehicle will not be used for the carriage of goods of an explosive, dangerous or hazardous nature, or for the carriage of goods or passengers for hire and reward or any other form of profit or payment.

9. Additional Drivers An additional
Driver is permitted per booking. All additional drivers must provide their identification outlined in section 8 and adhere to all the terms and conditions.

10. Security The hirer is responsible for the security and safety of the vehicle for the full duration of the hire.

Hirers will adhere to the following:

  • Hirer’s will not leave the motorhome unlocked when unoccupied. Hirers will ensure all windows are closed when the vehicle is unoccupied. The motorhome will not be left in any place deemed unsafe or in high crime areas.
  • Valuables or personal belongings must not be left in a position that is visible from the outside of the vehicle. When left unoccupied the vehicle should be left with blind/curtains closed for added security.
  • Hirers must ensure the key is not left in the ignition or in a visible place in the motorhome or any place that would make it easy to be stolen. If the vehicle is stolen with key in the ignition, this will invalidate the insurance and a hirer will be liable for the full replacement cost of the vehicle.
  • Hirer’s will not leave motorhomes in exposed areas during adverse weather.
  • The hirer will be responsible for any damage caused by vandalism or an attempted break in.

11. Damage/Accident
In the event of an accident or damage being caused to the vehicle, the hirer must: • Not make an admission of liability either verbally or in writing.

  • Contact WilDar campers as soon as possible (within an hour). No repairs should be attempted by the hirer.
  • Obtain the names, addresses and contact information of all third parties involved and any witnesses. The hirer will alert any necessary authorities if required.
  • Complete an Accident Report Form supplied. In the event of an insurance claim the full damage deposit will be taken to cover the insurance excess. No security deposit or insurance excess will be refunded until the claim is settled. The vehicle is not insured for any damage caused by cooking inside the vehicle.

12. Breakdown
The vehicles are covered by breakdown assistance and details will be provided at collection. Contact WilDar campers as soon as possible to inform us.

13. Return of the Vehicle
The vehicle must be returned by the agreed time of 11:00am, emptied of possessions.

    • The vehicle must be returned in a clean condition.
    • The toilet cassette must be empty.
    • The fuel tank must be full.

If the vehicle is returned in an unsatisfactory condition the following fees will apply:

  • Late return: £50 per hour will be charged for late returns. Any additional premiums required by our insurer to extend the hirer’s insurance will be payable by the hirer and deducted from the security deposit and/or pursued for.
  • Valeting/cleaning: fees will apply if the vehicle is not returned in a clean condition. • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the motorhome. Any evidence of smoking inside the vehicle will incur a £250 charge.
  • Toilet: if the toilet cassette is not empty at time of return a £70 charge will be payable.
  • Fuel: if the vehicle is not returned with a full tank of fuel the hirer will be liable for the cost of filling up the tank at the local garage rate plus £25.
  • Repairs: the cost of any repairs will be charged at the retail price of any parts, plus the cost of labour and will incur a standard charge or £50 to cover travel and time. MOTORHOME TERMS & CONDITIONS / CONTRACT
  • Penalties: You will pay all parking fines, other fines or penalties and associated administration costs incurred in relation to the vehicle during the rental period. These will be forwarded onto you.
  • All damage costs will be deducted from your security deposit, however we will pursue you for additional costs incurred where these are not covered by the security deposit value. We reserve the right to withhold the return of your security deposit where we have outstanding quotes for any repair work.

14. Responsibility
Any driving convictions, speeding tickets, parking tickets or other convictions in court during the time of hire are the responsibility of the hirer/driver.

15. Passenger and Child Seats
There is authorisation for the stated number of passengers. Each person is to use a seatbelt at all times while the vehicle is in motion. Child seats are not provided by WilDar campers. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that appropriate child seats have been made available to the children who legally require them. 

16. Vehicle Availability Prior to Hire Period
If for any reason WilDar campers are unable to provide the use of the selected vehicle due to circumstances out with their control then they reserve the right to provide you with an alternative vehicle of equal or higher quality or make reasonable enquiries to provide a holiday of similar or higher value up to 10% more than the hire cost. If this cannot be fulfilled a full refund will be given. No compensation or expenses will be paid if WilDar Campers are unable to fulfil their obligations.

17. Extra Insurance
WilDar campers advise that all hirers, including passengers, obtain adequate travel insurance which includes cover for cancellations due to Covid-19. It is also advised that hirers take out a form of additional insurance to cover the excess in the event of a chargeable incident.

18. Hirers Personal Vehicles
Secure parking is provided for one car maximum per booking for the duration of the hire at our secure storage site. It is the responsibility of the hirer to contact their insurance company to ensure adequate insurance is in place to cover any eventualities.

19.Travel Areas and Restrictions
UK travel is permitted in the vehicle. European travel is covered for up to 30 days. The vehicle must only be used on proper roads and roads leading to recognised campsites. The vehicle is not permitted to be taken to major festivals and music events. If the vehicle is taken to any of the above this will invalidate the insurance and the cost of any damage incurred will be the sole responsibility of the hirer.
